Took stitches from Milenka's forehead and Moises's leg today.
The cancha(open air market) was closed yesterday (well almost) while people partied. NEVER have I seen so much alcohol. 44 gallon drums full of bottles on ice and stacks of crates over six feet high at dozens of places. Streets running wet from water bombs, water pistols, and oblations of beer poured on the ground and the noise was indescribable. Bands at various spots and speakers from shops all trying to outdo each other. Just noise. No traffic as the people just weaved, danced, drank and then too the air was full of smoke from offerings to the gods from almost every stall, shop or business. An unforgettable experience.
Slumdog millionare is great and deserves its win. Anybody want a copy? I bought mine $1.30
